Go Birding Nature Tours based in southeast Arizona was founded by Jeremy Dominguez, a passionate bird guide, conservation educator, and U.S. Navy veteran. With over a decade of experience birding all over the world and guiding birders of all skill levels across the United States, the mission is simple: create memorable, welcoming, and safe birding experiences that connect people more deeply with nature.
In 2020, Jeremy completed a Lower 48 Big Year, identifying 724 bird species in a single calendar year—one of the highest totals ever recorded in the continental United States. This year-long journey required extensive travel across diverse habitats, careful planning, adaptability, and countless hours in the field. More importantly, it built an intimate, firsthand understanding of bird distribution, seasonal movements, and the unique challenges and rewards of birding in every corner of the country.
Professionally, Jeremy worked as a Birding Outreach Coordinator and Ornithologist at the Toledo Zoo & Aquarium, leading public bird walks, workshops, ecotours, and educational programs for communities of all ages. This role also included guiding birding trips nationwide, partnering with schools and conservation organizations, and speaking at festivals and public events—always with a focus on education, accessibility, and creating positive experiences for participants. He was also the Northwest Regional Director, Vice President and then President of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
As a U.S. Navy veteran, safety, preparation, and calm decision-making are foundational values Jeremy brings to every tour. Combined with CPR and First Aid training, this background ensures that guests can relax and enjoy the experience knowing they are in capable, attentive hands.
Whether you’re looking to explore a new region, add lifers to your list, or simply enjoy birds in a supportive and friendly environment, Go Birding Nature Tours is built around thoughtful guiding, deep field knowledge, and a genuine love for sharing birds with others.
