Well first things first, welcome to the new Go Birding Nature Tours website and blog – I am excited to be sharing my love for birds and nature with you all in a place all my own.
For those new here, hello, my name is Jeremy Dominguez. I am currently a full-time birding guide living in Tucson Arizona. Most the trips as of now are local day trips with some appearances at festivals across the US. I am hoping to add to this is the future and bring more trips to you all.
So the blog- for those we may have been following along with me in life might know that this is not my first time writing. I sent out monthly Newsletters for the TZ Bird Club when I was at the Toledo Zoo as well as Monthly President’s Messages for the Ohio Ornithological Society. I very much enjoy writing and expressing some of my thoughts on birds to the world and now I feel like I can do that more than ever with this site.

Sidewinder
Since June of 2025 I have been living in Tucson and really getting rooted in. Arizona is such an amazing place to explore nature. Of course the birds are awesome but I am really enjoying the herping – last season I encountered Sidewinders, Couch’s Spadefoot, Gila Monster and loads more. I am really enjoying being a member of the Tucson Bird Alliance and getting involved in their events in the area. This past December I lead a section for the Christmas Bird Count and look forward to their festival this summer.

This winter has been slow on the rarity front in my opinion. Even though I just moved here I have been coming to southeast AZ to bird for over a decade, so I am very familiar with what normal might look like. Right now I can’t even get a Rufous-backed Robin within an hour of my house! O well, it is still nice to be able to go birding in a short sleeve shirt in January I guess.
I don’t want to get too long-winded on my welcome to the blog post, so make sure to subscribe to stay up to date and I will be sure to at least check in monthly (and more if you are lucky)!
Go Birding,
Jeremy
